OUR PEOPLE

Asia Cambodia Law Firm is a dynamic working team of brilliant professional, experienced, knowledgeable, and highly qualified attorneys, consultants, and staffs who are all ready to assist clients with increasingly challenging assignments that need to be handled to set up, to ensure continuity of, and to clinch further growth of their business.

Each member of the team is allocated distinct duties and responsibilities according to their expertise and experiences. The president who is the sole proprietor has final words over issues within the firm. Under the president exists the General Manager who discusses and reports directly to the president on administrative and legal issues concerned.

President

ACLF is presided over by Ms. Seng Vuoch Hun, a member of Cambodian Bar Association and a Corporate Lawyer who has plenty experience in corporation, Banking and investment. Under her legal service providing, among several local and foreign companies and financial institutions that are operating their business in Cambodia, Sinhan Khmer, Phnom Penh Commercial, YonWoo Cambodia (Gold Tower 42), Phnom Penh Tower, are potential clients to the Asia Cambodia Law Firm. She is an expert in her fields with practical approaches to formulating business solutions. In addition to that, she is actively serving as a Labor Arbitrator for the Arbitration Council and member of Civil Affairs Commission of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia. She has graduated from recognized universities in the country and the United States of America.

General Manager

Under direct supervision of the President is Dr. KORK Boren, ACLF's General Manager. Boren holds a Ph.D. degree in law and political science issued by a top-ranked Japanese univeristy, Nagoya Unviersity. In addition to the Intellectual Property Law, which was her field of research for Master and Ph.D. degree, Boren is completely equipped with deep knowledge of Civil Law, Civil Procedure Law, and Commercial Law. Boren speaks Khmer, English, French, and Japanese.

As a General Manager, Boren is in charge of ensuring smooth operations of the firm by making sure that all set rules, principles and policies of the firm are strictly adhered to, reviewing works done by legal staffs, facilitating public communication, coordinating appointments, allocating and managing cases, recruiting and supervising staffs, and performing other tasks as assigned and delegated by the President.

Branch Managers

With the new launch of the ACLF’s Branch in Tuol Kok,  Mr. DUONG Saron is assigned to be Branch Manager. Saron holds a Master degree in Commercial Law issued by a well-known French University, BORDEAU IV University. Before being admitted into ACLF’s team, Saron worked for the Extraordinary Chamber in the Court of Cambodia (ECCC) and United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trial (UNAKRT) for several years.
Summary for main page: Under supervisor of the President and the General Manager, Branch manager works closely with staffs in building strong relationships and creating a positive working environment to ensure smooth operation of the Branch. Branch manager is in charge of reviewing works done by legal staffs and interns, supervising and guiding the legal staff’s work and other task as assigned by the General Manager or the President.

Associate Lawyers

Besides the President, ACLF consists of the following licensed attorneys-at-law who are members of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia:

These associate lawyers are grouped as corporate lawyers and litigation lawyers. They are specializing in their respected fields such as: providing consultation, processing and representing on (1) corporate of which most cases are involving the deferent types of company registration, liquidation, financial and taxation; (2) banking which is mainly relating to loan, mortgage, and security transactions; (3) real estate and construction; (4) drafting several types of Agreements including joint-venture agreements on big construction development projects, concessions, mining, agreements, sale and purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, leasing agreements; (5) intellectual property mostly relating to trademark registration and licensing; and (6) represent clients at courts and other relevant institutions in civil cases (i.e. property, labor, marriage and family) and in criminal cases i.e. felony, misdemeanor, accident, and other small cases.

Another distinct area is child adoption. Our attorneys have been very familiar with the procedure and necessary requirements to adopt Cambodian child locally and internationally.

As a principal, our specialized attorneys are practicing with greatly mindful, confident and resourceful in protecting rights and interests of our clients as guaranteed by laws. They have maintained their legal career paths full of local and international experiences. Consultants

Upon the clients' enquiry and diversified interests, ACLF also maintain professional network with independent and semi-dependent consultants who can be licensed attorneys in the field and professionals in various laws practices, finance, accounting and economics. So far, we establish the connection with consultants in Constitutional Law and Adoption, Land Law, Labor and Employment Laws. At the same time, as we are growing rapidly, more attorneys as well as consultants will be on board to make sure ACLF meet the standard of care from which prospective clients have expected.

Legal Support Unit

The Legal Support Unit is composed of the following highly qualified legal assistants who are placed here to support attorneys and consultants. These young professionals are domestic graduates of diverse backgrounds who are applying their knowledge with full of energy, power, and commitment.

Accounting and Taxes Unit

This Unite is designed to help our clients with the clearance of all transactions in a professional manner. Our accountant and taxation experts will provide incentive-based tax guidance and clearance so as our clients obtain maximum tax incentives which are often the key predators of companies' profits. At the same time, the firm could be a representative to file monthly taxes such as tax on profits, value added tax, and various other taxes as stipulated in the law.
